Friday Afternoon Disco

16 Jul

When I was about 12, I got a drumkit from a junk shop. I used to sit in the garage and attempt to play, while eating Mars ice creams. The truth is, I always much better at shaking my crescent moon tambourine. Me and drumming wasn’t to be, but here is a little ol playlist of my favourite drum songs anyway.

Badoom, tsch.

*ETA: FOREIGN FRIENDS UPDATE – Under the cut, I’m now endeavoring to post a playlist and links to all the songs for those unable to access Spotify. I have no idea why I’m making life harder for myself but there you go. Generous to a fault.

Surfari – The Ventures

Sing! Sing! Sing! – Gene Krupa

One Word – Mahavishnu Orchestra

In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida – Iron Butterfly

Won’t Get Fooled Again – The Who

Scatterbrain – Jeff Beck

1o0,000 Years – KISS

Hot For Teacher – Van Halen

I Fought The Law – The Clash

Bombora – The Balboas

Rock Steady – Aretha Franklin

EXCITING NEW YOUTUBE PLAYLIST VERSION!

    Good list Miss Gibson!

I greatly enjoy reading these posts and always find them entertaining but not being much of a fashion aficionado myself quite a lot of it is lost on me.
However on the subject of drumming I most defiantly know my onions and would like to congratulate you on a highly impressive selection. I can not fault the songs you have chosen that I have heard and now look forward to hearing the ones that I haven’t.
Hope this doesn’t sound condescending or owt!

    Paul Xx
