1) Japanese kids draw Henry Rollins. Does what it says on the tin. I can’t remember where I found this link, but I’d guess it was the Henry Rollins Tumblr.
2) RIBA has a great online exhibition of images from the Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs et Industriels Modernes – that’s the exhibition that took place in Paris in 1925 and which gave art deco its name. SO. MUCH. TO. LOOK. AT.
3) “A Baltimore girl wears her boyfriend’s photograph on her stockings. As hemlines rose, attention was focused on stockings and shoe fashions.” – An example of the fascinating things that the Fuck Yeah! 1920s! Tumblr throws up. Photos on your knees!!
4) The Quietus collated some of the best Elvis cover versions to commemorate his 75th birthday a couple of years back and as this year marks the 35th anniversary of his departure for the moon, here it is again. Ideal Friday afternoon listening.
5) If you’ve got a spare hour, this documentary about Eton is dead interesting. Originally shown on Channel 4 in 1991, it’s worth watching for the posh-boy nineties mufty outfits if nothing else.
Needless to say I want those stockings and may well design a ‘version of’ them for myself.
