Girlprops earrings//ancient Miss Selfridge t-shirt
Most of the things I bought during my first ever visit to Girlprops are now festering in a charity shop somewhere – don’t get me wrong; much as I adore the place, my taste as a 16-year-old was, let’s be honest, pretty shit. Pink plastic anchor earrings and silver (silver! gross!) horseshoe knuckledusters are all very well when your wardrobe consists of baggy courdroy flares and you consider Reel Big Fish the pinacle of musical achievement, but they no longer really fit with my personal style ~mantra~.
One thing that has stood the test of time, howevs, is this set of cherry earrings – which are still available to buy(??!!) for the same price online. I’ve worn these to death over the years, and after a short hibernation, they’re making a reappearance this summer.
As we are all aware, Ms Anna Della Russo is the Vogue editor de choix for all right-minded individuals in 2011, and her love of all things fruity – combined with Prada’s b-a-n-a-n-a-s collection – will no doubt be evident everywhere on the high street once the sun comes out. You may as well be a bit different – and get yourself a little bit of early 00s nostaliga to boot – by buying the Girlprops cherry earrings instead.
Oh, and this summer’s other must-have accessory is, obv, a CAMRA MEMBERSHIP!!! I know for a fact that ADR herself is a member.
